This varies by country and depends on the vehicle type, engine capacity, year of manufacture, and customs regulations. A customs broker can help you estimate exact duties.
You appoint the shipping company, and they arrange the shipping. They book the vessel or container space, quote the freight, and tell you the transit time. Altass Motors does not book shipping and cannot quote a transit time. What we do is prepare the UAE export paperwork, deliver the car to the port, and hand the vehicle and the full export file to your shipping company.
We prepare and submit the exit certificate, export declaration, customs forms, vehicle ownership documents, and any country-specific paperwork required. Everything will be processed and handed over for your shipment to move legally and without delays.
You appoint the shipping company, and you are free to use any company you choose. We do not work with specific shipping lines and we do not recommend or refer shipping agents. Once you have appointed one, we deliver the car to the port and hand the vehicle and the full export file to your agent. If you have not appointed a shipper yet, you will need to arrange that yourself before the car can leave the UAE.
Definitely. We regularly handle bulk exports and fleet documentation for car dealers, rental companies, and international buyers. We manage all units under one umbrella file to simplify processing and reduce delays.
Most of the export files we prepare are for buyers in Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and parts of Asia, particularly Ghana, Nigeria, Jordan, Georgia and Iraq. We prepare the UAE-side paperwork for those markets. We do not ship the car and we do not clear it at the destination, so the route it takes and the customs process at the other end are handled by your shipping company and your customs broker.
Our documentation fees depend on the vehicle type, the number of units, and the paperwork the destination country requires. We confirm the cost in writing before we start processing, and there are no hidden charges. Our fees cover the export documentation and delivery to the port. Freight, insurance and customs clearance at the destination are quoted separately by your shipping company and are not paid to us.
We can process export documents for cars, SUVs, trucks, and heavy machinery. Some destinations restrict the age of the vehicle, so we always check those regulations before processing.
Not necessarily. If you can’t be here, we can process everything on your behalf with the right documents. We often work with remote buyers, dealers, or agents using power of attorney or authorization letters.

Here is how buying a car from Altass Motors works, from first enquiry to handover at the port. 1. Browse & Select Explore our current inventory online or visit our showroom. Our team will help you choose the right vehicle based on your needs and budget. 2. Vehicle Reservation Once you have made your choice, you can reserve the vehicle with a small deposit to secure it while we prepare the export paperwork. 3. Inspection & Documentation We handle full vehicle inspection, verification of all documents, and provide you with detailed information including history, chassis number, and customs readiness. 4. Payment & Finalization You will receive a final invoice with clear cost breakdowns. Payment can be made via bank transfer, cash, or certified methods. There are no hidden fees. 5. You Appoint a Shipping Company Shipping is arranged by you, not by us. Appoint the shipping company you want to use and tell us who they are. Do this before the car is ready to move, so nothing waits at the port. We do not book vessels or containers, we do not quote freight, and we do not recommend agents. 6. Handover at the Port We deliver the car to the port and hand the vehicle and the complete export file to your shipping company. The file contains the exit certificate, the export declaration, the customs forms and the ownership documents. From that point the car is with your shipping company, and freight, insurance, tracking and customs clearance at the destination are theirs to handle.
Our responsibility ends when we hand the vehicle and the complete export file to the shipping company you appointed, at the port. Up to that point we are responsible for the car and for the UAE export paperwork: the exit certificate, the export declaration, the customs forms and the ownership documents. After the handover the car is with your shipping company. We do not book vessels, containers or RoRo space, we do not quote or charge freight, we do not arrange marine or transit insurance, we do not clear customs in your country, and we cannot track the car once it has left the port. Your shipping company and your customs broker handle all of that, and they are the people to ask for updates.
